In 1933, JD McVay opened Spokane Valley Insulation and Roofing, providing siding, roofing and windows to homeowners throughout the Inland Northwest. In 1957, JD retired turning the company over to his brothers Harry and Warren. Together with their brother Addison, they renamed the company McVay Brothers. Over the years they added distribution and light manufacturing of building products to their portfolio.

In 2010, under the leadership of company president Mike McVay, the family founded The Coeur d’Alene Window Company. The Coeur d’Alene Window Company was founded to provide quality, high end vinyl windows to discerning homeowners throughout the West.

In 2016, the company moved into a new manufacturing facility located at 115 N Sycamore in Spokane. The new facility nearly doubled the square footage providing ample room to grow.

At The Coeur d’Alene Window Company we believe in quality first.  You don’t survive for over fifty years by providing products that will fail.  We take our commitment to your satisfaction seriously – Taking care of our customers is our first priority. In an increasingly impersonal world, we value people. We consider our employees and customers as family. We look forward to the opportunity to serve you and demonstrate that all windows are not alike.

Our family business has been improving homes in the Northwest since 1933!
